Accreditation - Advanced Level Program

School Leadership

ACCREDITATION

The University of Utah’s School Leadership MED and EDD programs were reviewed for accreditation status through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) during the spring of 2023. CAEP is nationally recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).


The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy offers advanced level licensure in the following degree programs:

  • K12 School Leadership MED
  • Ed.D in Educational leadership and Policy with Administrative Licensure

 

CAEP Accountability Measures

September 1, 2021 – August 31, 2022

 

  • Measure 1: Completer Effectiveness (Initial License Only)
  • Measure 2: Satisfaction of employers and stakeholder involvement. (RA4.1) 
    • Data addresses employers' satisfaction with program completers.
  • Measure 3: Candidate competency at completion. (RA3.4)
    • Data measures the candidate’s competency at program completion and readiness to be recommended for licensure.
  • Measure 4: Ability of completers to be hired in education position for which they have been prepared.
    • Data measures completers ability to be hired into positions of school leadership.
